Okay first up.. i run my updated daily antivirus here regularly and it shows up nothing and i also run Ad Aware daily and again nothing... same for the Microsoft Antispy programme... nothing... anyway:
Tonight i downloaded Spybot S&D and run the fucker and it showed up a DSO Exploit (5 Entries i think) and i can't for the fuck of me figure out what the hell this is. I did a search on it and apparently it's a bug in Spybot... may be wrong that... but i am clueless to this shit haha! Anyway, all my windows critical updates are well, updated also as i heard that if they are updated then i am okay but i don't understand what this DSO Exploit is that shows up on Spybot because my Antivirus programme, Ad Aware and Microsoft Antispy don't show this at all. Completely free so wtf? MAkes me want to go back to frigging TV internet here LOL!
Anyone else ever had this DSO exploit? I assume it's to do with Internet Explorer? I recently switched to Firefox.

andii, don't worry about the DSO exploit. that's an old issue that has been taken care of by microsoft with it's updates. it used to be where websites would be able to modify certain registry setting through vulnerabilities in microsoft?s data source objects (hence the DSO). the developers of spybot didn't update their code/spyware definitions to ignore this. i believe there is a way to manually add DSO exploit to an ignore list in Spybot S&D. i don't use spybot so i can't give you the exact steps but if you need me too i will download it and figure it our for ya'.

Yeah Andii, the 5 entries that show up as DSO Exploits happen every time. It's not a problem. If you highlight an entry, an explanation pops up on the right hand side.
You can stop Spybot detecting these 'security holes' by right-clicking each item, and excluding the detection from further searches.
I didn't know that the security holes in IE had been dealt with, but it just highlights how vunerable IE has been in the past.
